Cookie Policy — Lyw
Version 1.1 Last updated: 10 September 2026
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on the User's device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when browsing a website. It allows the site to recognise the User, remember their preferences or collect information about their browsing.
This Policy also covers similar technologies (local storage, session storage, pixels, web beacons, etc.) that may be used for analogous purposes.
2. Cookies used on the Platform
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies (exempt from consent)
These cookies are essential to the operation of the Platform. They are only placed once the User signs in to an Account: merely browsing the public pages (home page, Talent directory, legal pages, frequently asked questions, sign-up and sign-in forms) places no cookie at all. Their placement does not require the User's consent (Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act).
| Cookie | Issuer | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-<project>-auth-token (split into …-auth-token.0, .1, etc. if its size requires it) | Supabase | Authentication and session maintenance | 400 days at most (cap applied by browsers), renewed on each session refresh and deleted on logout |
sb-<project>-auth-token-code-verifier | Supabase | OAuth/PKCE flow security (magic link) | For the duration of the sign-in flow (deleted as soon as the code is exchanged) |
No other cookie is placed by the Platform.
2.2 Functional cookies (subject to consent if present)
To date, the Platform does not use functional cookies subject to consent, nor any equivalent storage technology: no local storage, no session storage, no local database. No display preference is kept on the User's device — the language itself is carried by the page's address.
2.3 Audience measurement cookies (subject to consent)
To date, the Platform does not use audience measurement cookies: no analytics tool is integrated into it, be it Google Analytics, Plausible, its host's measurement tools (Vercel Analytics, Speed Insights) or any equivalent.
2.4 Marketing and advertising cookies
No marketing or advertising cookie is placed on the Platform. No retargeting, no advertising pixel (Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, etc.).
2.5 Payment: redirection to Stripe
Payment takes place on a page hosted by Stripe, to which the User is redirected; no Stripe script is loaded on the Platform. The cookies required for payment security and fraud prevention are therefore placed by Stripe on its own domain, under its sole responsibility, and are governed by its cookie policy, available at https://stripe.com/cookies-policy/legal.
No third-party cookie is placed on the Platform's domain.
3. Consent
3.1 No consent banner to date
As at the effective date of this Policy, the Platform uses only cookies that are strictly necessary to its operation (see § 2.1), to the exclusion of any third-party cookie (see § 2.5).
In accordance with Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and the CNIL's guidelines, these cookies do not require the User's prior consent. No consent banner is therefore displayed upon arriving on the Platform.
The User is nonetheless informed of the placement of these cookies by this Policy, which is accessible at any time from the footer of the home page, the Talent directory and each of the legal pages.
3.2 Future developments
If Lyw later adds cookies subject to consent to the Platform (non-anonymised audience measurement, marketing, retargeting, third-party cookies for advertising purposes, etc.), a consent banner compliant with the CNIL's requirements will be put in place before any such cookies are placed, and this Policy will be updated accordingly.
This banner will then allow the User to accept, refuse (with the same ease as accepting) or customise their choice by category. Until that choice has been expressed, no cookie subject to consent will be placed.
4. Configuration via the browser
The User may also configure their browser to block, delete or alert them to the placement of cookies. The procedure differs depending on the browser:
- Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
- Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enhanced-tracking-protection-firefox-desktop
- Safari: https://support.apple.com/en-us/guide/safari/sfri11471/mac
- Edge: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/delete-cookies-in-microsoft-edge-63947406-40ac-c3b8-57b9-2a946a29ae09
Warning: blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary cookies, may prevent all or part of the Platform from working.
5. Changes to the Policy
Lyw reserves the right to amend this Cookie Policy at any time, in particular to reflect a change in the set of cookies used. In particular, the addition of a cookie subject to consent (analytics, marketing, etc.) will trigger an update of this Policy and the prior implementation of a consent banner.
Users are encouraged to review this Policy regularly.
